Procedure:
1. Change your nickname:
/nick <nickname>
2. Register with NickServ:
/msg nickserv register <password>
Email is not required.
You will be logged in automatically at the same time.
Important: If you forget your password, the only way to recover it is by asking in the IRC channel — there is no password reset mechanism.
> Login
To identify to an already registered nickname:
/msg nickserv identify <nickname> <password>
Note: nickname and password are separated by a space.
